First Steps with I2P
Step 1 Installing and Configuration the my Router
So first, why do i say my Router, the first configuration was done on Windows (part two will be bout NixOS :3 ) and on a Thinkpad with wwan module and a sim card, which made it more difficult than it would be on your computer at home with a router that's capable of port forwarding. (carrier grade NAT)
So yeah, after deciding that i want to contribute in any way, i actually just downloaded the easy installer (i saw no reason to not to on windows). You basically just install it like any other installer, after your Browser opens the Router Console on Localhost Port 7657. to actually use the Network, you also need to configure a Browser for it, the documentation recommends to use the Firefox extension, but i decided to not use it, because the Reviews say it's broken. Actually the "hard" way is pretty easy. You need to add a second Profile in which u set a proxy pointing to 127.0.0.1:4444 and change 2 config options, telling the browser to use proxy in peer connections, stopping search machine redirecting and whitelist .i2p as a valid Domain.
